Who Qualifies?
Nominations due by 31st January 2022
The qualifying period for all categories (except Service to Sport & Community Impact Award) is 1 January 2021 – 31 December 2021.
Please list the achievements that have occurred in this period only.
The official online nomination form must be used.
The nominator must agree that all information is correct.
Nominations may be received from clubs, sports organisations or another individual, not a relative.
Clubs/organisations are able to forward nominations in more than one category. Each nomination must be received on a separate online nomination form. The information presented on the online nomination form must be clear and concise, as it is used by the judges to make an informed decision. Please ensure that you include all relevant details about the nominee’s achievements.
Photo/action shot of nominee would be appreciated to post on website and Facebook page.

This award will be chosen by public vote through the Bream Bay Sports Awards Website from nominees of all categories

CATEGORIES
Junior Sportsperson of the year
Awarded to the highest achievement by a sportsperson aged under 18 years of age at the time of achievement over the past 12 months.
Junior Team
Awarded for the highest achievement by a team (U18 at the time of achievement) over the past 12 months. All members to be affiliated to a club.
Masters Sportsperson of the Year
Awarded to the highest achievement by a sportsperson in Masters/Veterans age group competition
Senior Team
Awarded to a team who has reached the highest level of achievement over the past 12 months
Sports Man of the Year
Awarded to the highest achievement by a male sports person aged 18 years and over at the time of achievement over the past 12 months
Sports Woman of the Year
Awarded to the highest achievement by a female sports person age 18 years and over at the time of achievement over the past 12 months.
Coach of the Year
Awarded for the highest achievement by a coach over the past 12 months.
Referee of the Year
Awarded to the referee/umpire/judge that has officiated at the highest level over the past 12 months
Service to Sport
This award recognises volunteer service, achievement and contribution to sport throughout the nominee’s sporting life. The nominee must have made a significant contribution to sport in the Bream
Bay area. The emphasis for this award will be on both the length and level of contribution of volunteer service to sport. Previous winners are not eligible for re-nomination for the same achievements
Leadership Award
Awarded for the most outstanding achievements/results by a sport leader in relation to their sport and /or the sport sector over the past 12 months (sport leaders are considered as board members, committee members, paid or voluntary staff. This does not include coaches or officials and is not a service award i.e. achievements must have been in the last 12 months)
Community Impact Award
This award recognises achievement and contribution to sport, along with positive involvement in other community interests/organisations in the Bream Bay area
